Spring Mated Queens – Available from October 12th
Our new season queens are mated, laying, and ready for action from October each year. Order early, as there is often a 2-week wait on mated queens at this time of year, so getting your order in ahead of time secures your place. From November through May, orders can usually be filled promptly.
Bred for performance We rear Italian queens, open-mated in strong, healthy mating yards. Our queens lay strong, healthy brood and we select for good-natured bees that build vigorous colonies and work hard through the season.
Experienced, focused team Our queen-rearing team is 100% focused on producing high-quality queens throughout the season. With over 10 years of experience producing reliable, productive queens, you can plan ahead and place your order with confidence. References are available on request, including from some of New Zealand’s largest commercial beekeeping operations.
Ready to install Queens are supplied in an introduction cage with escorts and candy. To install, simply break out the plastic tab at the candy end and press the cage into a brood frame.
